Seed Bombs
The seed bombs contain wild flower meadow seeds (Emorsgate EM3: Special General Purpose Meadow Mixture). They were made by the artist and at workshops held at Burgess Park Adventure Playground and Chelsea Parade Ground.
They can be planted in the Autumn or Spring by throwing over a fence into waste ground, onto roadside verges, or just scattered around your garden or local area. The compost contained in the seed bomb should help the seeds to start growing.
The mix contains the following flowers:
Yarrwo, Common Knapweed, Greater Knapweed, Wild Carrot, Meadowsweet, Hedge Bedstraw, Lady’s Bedstraw, Filed Scabious,Rough Hawkbit, Oxeye Daisy, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Hoary Plantain, Salad Burnet, Cowslip, Selfheal, Meadow Buttercup, Bulbous Buttercup, Yellow Rattel, Sorrel, Red Campion, Tufted Vetch.
Wildflower meadows have declined by 97% in the last 50 years.
