Jane Higginbottom works with several organizations on community arts projects. For example with Art in the Park, Inspire Walworth, The Geffrye museum, and artists at 330 Studios where she works. This work ties into her own art practice and uses themes such as the environment and sculpture.

Art in the Park and Hexagon Housing – designed with local youth club, Rotherhithe, large circular floor mosaic for local community garden
Community Space Challenge – designed and made welcome mosaic for local community garden, Camberwell – with local youth club and visiting adults
2009/10
Gosfield Community Primary school, Essex – designed with the children and made wooden, carved owl storytelling bench
Art in the Park and Aylesbury, Kaleidoscope project – designed and made floor and wall mosaics for local allotment gardens – with a newly formed group from the Aylesbury estate
2010
Art in the Park – summer university one week mosaic project with local young people
New Cangle CP School, Haverhill, Suffolk – designed and made a mosaic tree, working with all the children in the school as part of artsweek
Inspire, Gateway Estate, Camberwell – designed and made mosaic paving slabs to decorate the entrance to their tenant and resident assocation space
Art in the Park and Southwark pensioner centre – started painting class – now 4 corners – with SE17 and Aylesbury over 50’s
